This is a nourishing time for the forest. Floods bring nutrients and are an essential part of the circle of life. The reference photo for this was taken in Cottonwood Park in Downtown Prince George. Cottonwood forests like this one are essential to the management of flood waters and are reinvigorated by the high waters.
