When young, it produces lobed, dark green leaves on non flowering stems and spreads via aerial rootlets. When mature, unlobed dark green leaves appear on rootless stems that bear clusters of greenish white flowers in autumn. Flowers are followed by orange to black berries in winter that hang on branches throughout the
