She called her collages 'paste ons': a combination of planes, lines and discs and no incorporation whatsoever of real objects. Rozanova was part of the 'Supremus' which was a group of avant garde artists (led by Malevich) who turned art into a cosmic showdown of geometric forms, tearing down all academic art rules. The idea was that any painting
