It tells the story of a young woman from East Germany who comes to New York City in the late 1990s and is discovered as a fashion model. The story is told in three parts: through photographic snapshots of the city and through memorabilia such as notes, Polaroids, behind the scenes shots, fashion editorials, and campaigns.
