Les Monthieux and Montmerand
giving the wine shape and presence while staying open and approachable
This sparkling wine
it’s the kind of wine that disappears fast and leaves a smile behind
it’s made with minimal intervention and maximum character
Premières Tries 2023 mourvédre Les Monthieux and MontmerandThis new cuve comes from the first pick of each of Renauds parcels of Chenin Blanc and therefore includes vines both young and old. The grapes were pressed directly and moved to old barrels for fifteen months of levage, and here a cooler vintage has rendered a pale, delicate and nuanced expression of the grape that is incredibly compelling in its youth.
