Red Lady Papaya (Premium size) - Carica papaya Hibiscus • Height when mature: 2-3Red Lady Papaya has a high yield of fruit that's similar but sweeter and tastier than the typical grocery store types. The flavor resembles melons. Red Lady often starts to fruit when it reaches just 4 feet tall. Not sure if your fruit is ripe yet? Just let it stay on the tree until about a third of the skin changes color and then pull it off to ripen at room temperature. Like bananas, papayas get sweeter as they ripen. This papaya is self fertile.
