Growing to about 8m it can handle a variety of soils including poor shallow soils

It can tolerate a variety of soils but moist well drained is best as is shade with dabbled light but it will be happy in full sun too

It is a medium sized tree that typically grows to 10 to 15m tall with an open pyramidal habit. As it ages the peeling bark develops colours that can seasonal interest. Best grown in medium to wet, well drained, sandy or rocky loams in full sun to part shade.
