In good condition overall - there are 2 repairs at the right armpit (1 to the body & 1 to the sleeve) which have been done with silk fusible & tiny stitches - an old patch repair to the skirt (circled) - some dark marks beside the zip - some faint marks on the bodice near the 2nd buttonhole up
Original 1940s Cotton Dress Blue Pink Checked Gingham Shirt Waister UK S/M green Length: 29" (73A vintage 1940s dress, home made from a fairly thick, rustic cotton (but not flannel) fabric with a woven gingham type check in blue & pale pink. The bodice is double breasted with a large pointed collar, opens to the waist with poppers & 4 decorative blue plastic buttons, & has long sleeves with popper fastened shirt style cuffs; the skirt is bias cut & very flared. There is no side opening, so the dress must pull on over the bust. NB the belt shown
